To implement a procedure for the pre-employment process to include criminal background checks, drug and/or alcohol testing, CAPS, fingerprinting, reference check(s), professional credential verifications, and verification of past employment for applicants and current employees who have been interviewed and are being considered for hire, promotion, or transfer with Goodwill of Colorado. This policy outlines the pre-employment requirements for each position based on roles and responsibilities of the job and is aimed to protect Goodwill of Colorado from liability caused by "negligent hiring" situations and to ensure that the most qualified candidates are hired.
