Volunteers First Day: Store Manager/Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Has volunteer sign in with PIN # at Kiosk
  • Conducts orientation (tour of store, explanation of responsibilities and safety)
  • Completes Volunteer Tour and Safety Checklist 
  • Ensures necessary forms are filled out (badge log/court paperwork)
  • Scans/sends badge log to Volunteer Services at volunteerservices@goodwillcolorado.org at the beginning of each week.
  • Volunteer starts their hours

Why is Orientation Paperwork Important?

  • Legal document claiming volunteer has received training and understands their role/responsibility
  • If there are any issues, responsibility falls on the volunteer not store or Goodwill of Colorado.
  • If there are missing hours responsibility falls on volunteer not store when paperwork is turned in

(Note – all volunteers receive 1-hour for orientation. Credit only gets assigned after paperwork is turned in)
